Bequest Provision
A provision in a will may be made using the following language:
I give, devise, and bequeath to Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County,Indiana, a non-profit corporation located at 213 E. Kirkwood Avenue, Bloomington, Indiana, _______ percent of my estate (or the sum of $__________; or ________ percent of the residue of my estate) as an unrestricted gift.
STOCK AND BOND GIFTS
A charitable gift of stock or bonds can help make the dream of homeownership a reality for deserving family while also providing tax savings for you.
A gift of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time the gift is made. If the stock has appreciated, you also avoid a capital gains tax on the appreciation.
In addition to helping Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County fulfill its mission of eliminating poverty housing, you may diversify away from low-basis, long-term holdings into other assets that will better suit your needs.

Donor Privacy Policy
Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County (HFHMC) is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. Any information supplied to HFHMC by donors will be used solely to fulfill their donation and not be shared for any reason unless permission is granted by the donor to share such information. All requests to remain anonymous shall be honored.
Habitat for Humanity does not sell or share donor lists. Donors who supply HFHMC with their postal address or e-mail address may be contacted periodically for solicitation purposes and/or information regarding upcoming events. All donors have the option to contact us via e-mail, phone, or postal mail to request to be placed on the "do not solicit" list. All requests to be removed from HFHMC's mailing list shall be honored.
