Volunteer
Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with families in need.
We invite volunteers to help us build, assist in the office, work in the ReStore, serve on committees, and help with special projects that benefit the organization.
As a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, there is always a place for you to bring your unique talents and skills. Experience is not necessary to volunteer with us. Our staff and volunteer leaders will provide you with all the training needed. Our partner families work alongside many of our volunteers while they are earning sweat equity, so it’s a great way to meet future Habitat homeowners.

Creative Volunteer Opportunities
Photographer
Capture the joy and excitement of the build process and the happiness of a partner family at dedication as a volunteer photographer. All you need is a digital camera and an outgoing personality. We can even give you tips on how to capture these special moments.
Social Media Contributor

Student Opportunities
As a student of Indiana University or Bloomington High School
North, you can also get involved with Habitat for Humanity through your
school’s chapter. Both chapters have build spots reserved for large
groups throughout the year, and are always welcoming of new members. In
addition to building, each chapter hosts special events to raise
awareness and support for Habitat for Humanity. Habitat chapters are a
great way to meet like-minded people, and they’ll keep you engaged in
both your school and your community.
Please visit the IU or North websites more information.
