Indiana Governor to Build with Habitat for Humanity

Governor Mitch Daniels will join with volunteers on April 10th to build a Habitat for Humanity house in Monroe County.

Daniels and the future homeowner of the house, Isis Saavedra, will build her home in Cedar Chase, a neighborhood currently being developed by Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County on the southwest side of Bloomington.

The neighborhood construction has been funded by both individual donors and a grant from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA), which the Monroe County affiliate received in 2009. Sherry Seiwert, executive director of IHCDA will also visit the work site and meet with the Habitat homeowners in Cedar Chase.
