For Noe and Araceli, seeing their children play in their own yard was just a dream; but soon, their daughter Estella and twins Sofie and Roni will be able to play outside their own home. When Noe heard about Habitat for Humanity he knew it was his family's way out of the cold mobile home they had been living in for so long. His children would have a warm place to call their own, a yard to play in and paretns that would be proud to finally own their own home.

He humbly said, "This is more for my babies." Noe is really looking forward to using the new skills he's gained to maintain his new home. In particular, he has gained experience hanging dry wall and will be helping the professional builders sponsoring his house with that task.

The Builders

Building Associates, Inc. returns to partner with Habitat for Humanity in this year's Builders Blitz. Building Associates has not only participated in Builders Blitz last year, but also served as a house sponsor along with its subcontractors in 2009. Building Associates started as a small, two-man operation performing remodeling and roof work in 1983. Since then it has grown into a respected commercial, residentail, and roofing contracting business. Owners Jack Thompson and Matt Chitwood appreciate the community that is developed among the builders during the Blitz.

"The camaraderie and cooperation with the fellow general contractors and subcontractors working side by side with the partner families is an amazing thing," they said. "Putting our time and talent to use is the best way many of us see as a great way to give back for what we have received. The best part is that we actually get more from the experience than we actually give."

Habitat is thrilled to welcome Blue Line building and design to its first Builders Blitz event. Blue Line brings its expertise in building, rebuilding, and remodeling to the Blitz. What began as a very small, part-time home repair business has now grown into a company that can do complete residential remodeling.

Blue Line's Blitz partner, Building Associates, has a lot of influence on the company's decision to join Builders Blitz. Blue Line owner Paul Engle said, "We have worked together in a number of small projects over the years. We are looking forward to working with the many contractors, suppliers, Habitat personnel, and trades people involved."
