Patriot Interiors is partnering with Habitat for Humanity's Builders Blitz for the first time this year. Mike Baker and Ned Skinner bring their commercial building expertise to the Blitz after completing projects for Indiana University, Chase Bank, Walgreens, Pitaya Clothing, and more. Mike has made a commitment to build energy and environmentally friendly products, based on Energy Star and L.E.E.D. concepts, both in commercial development and residential homes. Since all Habitat homes are Energy Star certified, this will be a great fit for Patriot Interiors. Habitat is looking forward to working with Patriot Interiors during the 2010 Builders Blitz.

Tom Fuller, owner of TA Fuller Homes, has been in construction for 25 years. His business, open since 1999, builds and designs custom homes in all price ranges. His focus is building homes for those who want a custom house designed around their lifestyle needs. For Tom, Builders Blitz provides a way to give back to the community through his company and a way to make dreams come true. "I'm most looking forward to seeing the smile on Lisa's face when we get her dream completed." This is TA Fuller's third Builders Blitz.

A permanent disability would cause most people to put their dreams on hold. Lisa proves that with determination and a hand-up from Habitat, dreams don't have to wait. Though her world changed when she suffered serious lower back injuries in an accident, she has chosen to stay active through volunteer work at the Shalom Center. She continues to pursue an active lifestyle as much as possible even with her injuries.
Homeownership means a huge change in perspective for Lisa. "In my apartment, I couldn't even think of making something really my own," she said. "Even little things like hanging a picture (were difficult) because they weren't permanent. I wanted a place I could call home ."
Lisa enjoys the feeling of being a part of Habitat. "I know when I'm doing something at Habitat it's all going to be positive." Lisa's home is co-sponsored by Patriot Interiors and TA Fuller Homes. You can read more about these builders below.
