Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County offers volunteer opportunities for you to help with all aspects of home building.  We have both construction and non-construction volunteer opportunities available to you. You do not need to be an expert in construction to help out on a work site. There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others. On-site construction work is the most popular of Habitat's volunteer opportunities. We make every effort to incorporate all willing volunteers regardless of skill level. All volunteers on the construction site must be at least 16 years of age or older. We will work rain or shine!

Here is how you can sign up to become a volunteer:

On line Registration
Resigter on line and take the on line orientation.  The process is simple and will take about ten minutes. Fields preceded by a red '*' are required. All other fields are optional. It does not have to all be completed at one time. Completing this Registration & Orientation online will give you immediate access to our construciton and other volunteer opportunities.  Once you complete the Online Registration & Orientation, we ask that you sign up for a tour on the calendar (not the construction calendar).  The tours take place most Saturdays from 2-3 p.m.

In Person Registration
Call our office at 331-4069 and ask to speak with Kai.  She can sign you up for a tour and get you the paperwork that you will need.  You can also e-mail her at volunteer@monroecountyhabitat.org.

We use the information you provide in the Registration & Orientation to help you determine where your skill would best help us, or to provide you with information on available volunteer opportunities so you can choose where you would like to help out.
